PROJECT 3: OSL COLORATION

This page displays the results of patterns created using OSL and
it's application to shaders using RIB and Maya.
The purpose of this assignment was to learn the basics of the open shading language (OSL).

PATTERNS

All the patterns were done using cutter and basic math concepts.

CUSTOM PATTERN

TIC TAC TOE

The idea of this pattern was to create a tic tac toe where the user could make
esthetic changes to the interphase and position both shapes
in the slot they want, using the simple user intephase that allows the following changes:
• Change shape's color
• Select shape's Spot (1-9)
• Modify shape's thickness

The user can also customize the thickness of both shapes and colors.

CONCLUSIONS

I am happy with the resutls of my project, but I would really like to
improve the following things: Turn the cross 45°, add the pattern the
functionality to play the whole game and optimize the code.
Hope I can try this shaders using the OSL node in the new version of RenderMan.
