PROJECT 4: PATTERN ANIMATION

This page displays the results of patterns and shaders created using OSL - RIB and
it's application using TCL and Maya.

For the leaves the user is able to control and animate the color, hue, saturation, size and displacement.
I was able to use color and radius variation by using the object ID.

To create the flem of the candle I used nParticles in Maya for the animation and a custom shader that includes a RM Mesh light
for the particle emission. The user can control the color by height, coordinate system and light intensity.

CONCLUSIONS


I really enjoyed making this project. I would like to
improve the following things: Make the begining of the leaves in the bottom of the UV quadrant,
add some more variation to the leaves and improve it´s shapes. I can't wait to try the OSL node in the new version of RenderMan.
